Direct Flight From Pittsburgh To Paris

Starting June 3, 2009, passengers traveling from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania will once again have direct international service to Europe. Delta Airlines is set to begin non stop service from Pittsburgh International Airport to Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris, France, where passengers can then connect to over 90 European cities.

The flights are scheduled to depart five times a week, none on Tuesdays and Fridays.  They will be operated on a Boeing 757-200 aircraft, with seating for 16 in Delta’s BusinessElite section and 158 in economy.

The new route comes as a by-product of Delta’s joint venture with Air France and represents Delta’s first-ever direct service from Pittsburgh to Paris.

The non stop flight also comes as a welcome boost for businesses and tourism in Pittsburgh and the surrounding area, as Pittsburgh International Airport has been operating without direct international service since 2004 when US Airways suspended their direct service to London and Frankfurt from the Pennsylvania hub.
